Career History

2001 - Current, Director & Project Manager, Empiria Ltd

Projects undertaken to date include:

· Client Project Manager for a £500k Agresso Implementation to a four-month go-live target. Responsible to Directors, liaison with Agresso UK. Project implemented to cost and time targets [Retail sector].

· Project management of in-house resource for the delivery of Agresso multi-client systems (Financials, Fixed Assets, Logistics) to France, Switzerland, Spain, Benelux, and USA subsidiaries. Including liaison with Agresso UK and client Directorate [Software plc]

· Project manager for a fast-track, high-profile implementation of a new Canadian acquisition within a live UK Agresso system (Financials, PCB, Logistics). Including Empiria turnkey configuration delivery, liaison with Agresso Americas, liaison with Directorate [150 user Engineering plc acquisition]

· Organisation and facilitation of client workshops to support management buy-in and change initiation, to accompany Agresso system changes [Engineering Consultancy, University, Engineering & Facilities Management Company]

· Client project manager for several Agresso upgrade projects [NHS, Commercial].

1998 - 2001, Project Manager, Agresso Implementation, Eutech Ltd

In 1998, Eutech decided to replace its ICI-legacy business systems with a single, integrated Agresso system. I managed all aspects of the project from proposal to delivery of the system with a total budget of nearly £1M. Other technology/change projects included the move of 250 staff to a new hi-tech custom-built building (£1.25M budget)

1997 - 1998, Project Manager, Bank of New Zealand

I was responsible for leadership of the BNZ prototype on-line banking system to a mainstream bank channel.

1979 - 1997, Engineer and Project Manager, ICI plc

My ICI career included roles as systems engineer, commissioning engineer, engineering team section head, and technology project manager, working in various UK locations and for 3 years in the USA.

· BSc First Class Honours in Engineering (University of Glasgow, 1979)

· Chartered Engineer (1992)

· Prince2 (Projects in Controlled Environments) Registered Practitioner (2004)
