Empiria has carried out a number of Agresso Business World (ABW) projects with Man Investments.
Man Investments is a leading global provider of alternative investment products and solutions. It provides access for private and institutional investors worldwide to hedge fund and other alternative investment strategies through a range of products and solutions designed to deliver absolute returns with a low correlation to equity and bond market benchmarks. Part of Man Group plc, which is also one of the world’s largest futures brokers, Man Investments employs over 1,200 staff in ten countries.
Empiria has worked with the Man Investments global Finance team on significant projects including the reorganisation of over 60 Agresso clients into a common accounting structure. This reorganisation has considerably simplified ongoing maintenance and operations.
Empiria also designed and built an improved Year-End process. This was implemented by the Man Investments Finance team and has allowed Man Investments to speed up their year-end reporting timetable.
During the reorganisation project Empiria was responsible for recommending, designing and implementing changes and carried out the initial system testing. Empiria also developed the testing template for User Acceptance Testing.
For the Year-End processing project, Empiria worked closely with the Man Investments Finance team to model their required processes and check-reports, and then created an upgrade-proof solution using standard ABW tools. Empiria coached key users, and supported initial operation of the processes.
