Our client, VT Merlin Communications, was an existing user of the Financials, Project Costing and Billing (PCB) and Logistics modules.
Merlin's customers were placing greater demand for sophisticated reporting and invoicing. In addition, the nature of their projects was becoming increasingly complex. As most of the original implementation team were no longer available, it was difficult to respond to the level and pace of change within the business.
Empiria were engaged initially to advise on how best to proceed and, subsequently, to assist in the reconfiguration of the PCB module (including the migration of historical financial data to the new configuration).
Empiria provided coaching to certain key users in the revised operation of the system and managed the project to ensure that changes made were operational for the start of Merlin's new financial year.
The reconfigured system was delivered on time and within budget and is fully capable of delivering the requirements of Merlin's customers.
